If you’re new to York Vineyard, we want you to know that you are really welcome. We do a number of things to help you if you are thinking about making this church your own. On this page you can find out a bit about how to get plugged in.
Firstly, do come and visit at one of our Sunday gatherings if you haven’t already. If you’re just curious about Jesus and perhaps unfamiliar with the idea of church, we hope you feel comfortable to come back again as you discover more about God and what he means to you. Join us from 11am for worship, teaching from the bible and an opportunity to pray for each other. Our meetings are relaxed and informal with plenty of time to chat over a coffee.
Being part of a Small Group
This is where relationship and community really grow and accountability happens. These really are some of the key building blocks of our church community.
You might like to consider doing an Alpha course to discover more about Jesus – if you are interested in attending an Alpha course please just let us know.
Find somewhere to serve in the church
There are many people who serve on Sundays, helping out to make the morning go smoothly. You can get stuck in and make a difference – whether it be Set-up & Set-down, Welcome & Refreshments, PA / AV team or Outreach, we would love to have you involved.
Giving of your income
The Bible clearly teaches the principle of giving, and money is just one demonstration of commitment to the work and ministry of the church to which we belong. We want to be a generous people, providing the church with the resources to do things well, and to demonstrate God’s love outside this church in what we give away.We want to be people who are active, and as the church develops we will be able to achieve a great deal if we put our shoulder to the wheel, using the gifts we have and serving where help is needed.Current ministries include: Set-up (and set-down); Kids work; Welcome team; Refreshments; Media team; Sound team; Worship leading in small groups. There are also ministries which take place during the week which care for the poor and ministering in the streets.
